January Eats:
Here are all of the noteworthy places where I ate in Charleston, SC in January 2024.
Dinner & Drinks
Basic Kitchen - Downtown, off Lower King
A veggie friendly favorite downtown, this place has hearty but healthier inspired options. Grab a table inside, on the back patio, or at the long bar.
Jackrabbit Filly - North Charleston, Park Circle
New Chinese American. Great spot up in North Charleston for indoor & outdoor eating. They have a big patio (dog friendly!)
Taste of India - West Ashley
My go-to Indian food place in town, for dining in or take out, this is my comfort place.
Sorelle - Downtown, Broad Street
Italian. This spot is actually a few connected buildings on Broad Street. The right budling houses the main restaurant, which has a few different areas (dining room, bar, pizza oven, etc). The left houses a market where you can grab lunch sandwiches, coffee, and gelato. I came in one night for dinner in the bar/lounge area and enjoyed the pasta, the service, and the amaro selection.
Dinner at Chasing Sage (monthly Spotlight)
If you don’t know already from hearing me talk about it or posting on Instagram, Chasing Sage is my favorite restaurant downtown. I come here often for a fantastic time, so here is a delicious meal I had there this month.
