Charleston Eats - February 2026

February Eats:

Here are all of the noteworthy places where I ate in Charleston, SC in February 2026.

Downtown

My friend hosted a lovely birthday dinner at Coterie downtown, a block off King. We had the large patio / bar area to ourselves, the cocktails were delicious, and the dinner options were fantastic (even for vegetarians). Definitely a great option tucked away right off of King street for a nice drink or cozy dinner on a nice weather evening.

Park Circle

I don’t usually post about places I didn’t enjoy, but sometimes I do like to give folks fair warning. I had been meaning to go to Jackrabbit Filly for a while, and finally found myself an open bar seat one night (they’re usually pretty busy, definitely make reservations for weekends).

Being a “new Chinese American” restaurant, I went in thinking there would be plenty of vegetarian options available, as there usually are at most Asian places (noodles, tofu, vegetables, etc). I will caveat this by saying they do change up their menu often, so check the current menu before going in. But on the day I went, there were woefully few options for vegetarians (not even the noodle dish was veggie friendly). The dishes I was left with were …. vastly overpriced. I ended up getting one fried mushroom (left plate, thought it was a mushroom dish… not just a single fried mushroom), what I thought would be a vegetable dish but was just broccoli, and I had to order an extra side of rice to round it out. So one mushroom, some broccoli, and white rice. I didn’t even have a cocktail. And that was $40.

To say I was a tad bit offended by the final bill total would be correct.

Overall, if you like dishes with meat, many of the other dishes sounded and looked amazing. But as a vegetarian… I would read the current menu before coming in so you don’t get surprised by minimal options.
