Just some of the food I freeze in glass jars (top left to right): . ❄️apple peels and cores for scrap vinegar ❄️roasted tomatoes ❄️homemade tofu ❄️bean broth from cooking beans ❄️quick strawberry sauce ❄️roasted tomatillos ❄️homemade pumpkin purée ❄️more roasted tomatoes ❄️lemon zest ❄️almond pulp leftover from making nut milk ❄️liquid squeezed from vegetables shredded for pancakes/latkes ❄️homemade lemon curd ❄️more roasted tomatoes (we eat lots of them) ❄️lemon juice ❄️vegetable broth ❄️homemade orange curd . As you can see here, I use only wide-mouth jars with straight, flush sides for freezing. Don’t use anything with a neck as it can snap off when the food freezes. I also leave headspace in the jars to allow for expansion. Except for the @leparfaitworldwide jars in the bottom right, these are all upcycled jars. .
