After the LA debacle, I decided to spend two weeks in Santa Fe with my family so that I could wrap up my old job and be settled in one place before I went to Ohio to start my new job. During that time I mostly worked, took the dogs for walks, and enjoyed some good food, both home-cooked and out at local restaurants. Sometimes you just need a place to unwind for a bit before getting back on the road to look for more adventure, and these two weeks in Santa Fe were that for me.
Here is a bit of a photo dump of the various things we got up to during those couple of weeks.
Time with the doggos
Dog guide: Little black & brown = Fred, my dog. Big black = Fay, my dad’s dog. Little gray scruffy guy = Rory, my mom’s dog.
What can I say, my parents love having Fred around… and he has them both wrapped around his little paw.
Enjoying the Desert & my family’s property
The stars in New Mexico are amazing because they don’t allow any lights that aim up. In the photo below, I think that trail of light in the bottom center is the Milky Way.
Tasting the local fare
I hope you enjoyed this look at what I did and ate while relaxing in Santa Fe. If you want recommendations on places to eat or things to see here, check out my Santa Fe Victinerary guide, helpfully edited by my mother who has been a visitor and then resident for over a decade now. And as always, drop any questions you have in the comments below if the Victinerary doesn’t give you enough ideas!
