Gardens of London

A Quick Tour of Kew Gardens

I spent too much time in Richmond (getting distracted by Ted Lasso and cute bookshops) before realizing that Kew Gardens closes at 3pm. It’s only a 15 min walk down the street from Richmond, so I got there just in time to spend a little over an hour strolling through the grounds. I got to peek inside the Temperate Greenhouse which I loved, but I definitely have to spend some more time here on a future trip. There’s so much to see! You could easily spend many hours walking the grounds and visiting the multiple greenhouses. It would probably be a lovely place for a summer picnic as well.

A Stroll through Regents & Hyde Parks

On a different day I found myself with a free morning in Kensington. I decided to take a stroll through Regents & Hyde Parks. Taking a stroll through the central parks of London is always a good idea. I love that folks can just walk their dogs there off leash (if they’re well behaved of course!)

When in doubt, the British love their gardens and try to enjoy them in as many seasons as possible. So if you’re in the UK, make a stop at your nearest green space for a refreshing stroll. If you want a beautiful look at a proper country garden, see this post from my 2016 trip when I stayed in the Cotswolds.

Thanks for coming on a few strolls with me around London to enjoy the green spaces. I always recommend a walk around the London parks as a lovely way to spend an afternoon or even just an hour.

Happy Travels
