I met Charlie Bolin when he was the bar manager at Chasing Sage in Charleston SC. He’s since moved on to be the bar manager at Legami downtown, but he has also started his own specialty cocktail pop-up called Feral Cane. He has held a few cool cross-over events with other local makers and so far I’ve been able to make it to two of them. Feral Cane x De Mare Raw Bar

This pop-up crossover featured tiki-inspired cocktails and seafood from De Mare Raw Bar. I don’t eat fish, but they were lovely and made me a veggie heavy version of the Niçoise salad, and of course I tried some of the local ice cream options as well.
Favorite beverage of the night was the In Conclusion.
Feral Cane x Brandon’s Bread

This crossover was right up my alley, with local bread maker Brandon’s Bread serving up a delicious kale panzanella salad and cornbread (yay veggie options for me). The event happened to be the day after my birthday, so my pineapple cake got a little festive upgrade as well ;)
