April Eats: Cincinnati Edition

Here are all of the noteworthy places where I ate in Cincinnati, OH when I was in town for work in April 2025.

The Davidson - Fountain Square Downtown

I came in here during a torrential downpour because it was the closest thing to my hotel, and I was pleasantly surprised by both the ambiance & the food. I always end up having some bourbon when I’m in Cincinnati due to the close proximity to Kentucky bourbon country, so having a good Old Fashioned is always a winner for me. I also enjoyed my pasta & veggies sides. All around would go back, with a bonus that it’s near one of my favorite regular hotels downtown.

Sotto - Near Fountain Square Downtown

This Italian spot, hidden down some stairs on E 6th Street is a local favorite. It’s overpriced, but the food is good so I went in one night for some dessert and a nightcap. Did I love the dessert? Yes. Did I have to complain to the bartender for overcharging me for my drink because he failed to mention that they charge an extra $2 for special branded ice? Yes, yes I did. It has a cozy local kind of vibe, and the food aromas are divine. But keep an eye on your bill for silly business like special ice *face palm
