My parents decided to visit Charleston for a few weeks this winter to escape the cold. I drove them down to Savannah for a quick day trip to see the beautiful architecture, pop into the SCAD store, & have a spot of lunch at Clary’s Cafe before heading back north. Here are some of the pretty buildings we saw, and a lovely feature of my dad being a goober when taking family photos
Logistics: Savannah is under a 2 hour drive from Charleston, the highway there is relatively boring but it’s direct and an easy drive. We spent a few hours walking around the streets & parks of downtown, had some lunch, and came home. You can stay later to enjoy some of the nightlife or a ghost tour, but it’s definitely doable as an easy day trip if you’ve never been and want to go from Charleston.
The brick work all around downtown is gorgeous. So many incredible details!
Is this not the CUTEST car you’ve ever seen!?! Meanwhile my dad only knows how to be a goober. We love him anyway 🤪

Thanks for coming with us down to Savannah for the day.
